73-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Traffic Accident near Broadway
TUCSON, AZ (August 12, 2022) – Saundra Bridgeford Lewis died early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Country Club Road.
The incident happened on August 6th when a suspected late-model Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck struck Lewis, according to police.
Medics attempted life-saving efforts on the severely injured victim, however, the woman eventually died due to the extent of her condition.
Tucson Police Department said that Lewis was walking in the northbound lanes when the crash happened.
Furthermore, the involved vehicle fled the scene after the initial collision.
