London has the highest percentage of single parents families in the UK with 19.1% of families having only one parent.
The research found that Havering, London’s most easterly borough, came out on top with a score of 93.5 of 100 in its rankings.
It was found that the borough had the second-best property rent to income ratio in London – scoring 52.3%, versus the rate of 70% across all London Boroughs.
Cost of childcare is the lowest in London, at an average of £5.50 p/h. 50% cheaper than the other end of the rankings, in Richmond upon Thames.
There is also plenty of safe space for children to play with 90% of homes having access to private outdoor space, the highest of all London Boroughs.
Other things they measured in the study included crime rate and the number of ‘outstanding’ rated schools in the area.
